Data is a Currency – Your Data Is Important. Do You Know What Others Are Doing With it?

A work from home world means more than business casual on top, pajamas on the bottom..

It also means shuffling company data across various harddrives and numerous cloud storage platforms.

Here’s a great breakdown on what many big software companies are doing with your data – to track you, make money off you, and learn more about you (for many reasons including marketing).

We’re all using the cloud – however, that doesn’t mean your security and privacy concern have disappeared. In fact, cloud demands a closer look at who has your data and what they plan to do with it.

Migrating to the cloud across the board is a great way to increase operational efficiency and cut costs, but it also comes with increased responsibility.

Especially right now, it’s an employee free-for-all. It’s nearly impossible to tell where your data is at a given moment, and who has access to it.

Bob is sharing a server with his teenage son who is gaming with complete strangers (possible hackers), and Susan just downloaded that confidential file to her unsecured harddrive…but you have no idea.

It’s time to get your team on the same page, and set a standard for where your data is at all times.
